Definition of Electric Bike:
The state of Nevada (NV) defines electric bikes as any two or three wheeled device that has an automatic transmission and a motor of less than 750W and is capable of propelling the device at a maximum speed of not more than 20mph on level ground.
Licensing and Registration:
The state of Nevada does not require license or registration of electric bicycles.
Helmets are required for all electric bike riders.
Where to Ride:
Electric bicycles may be ridden on roadways where the posted speed limit is less than the traveling speed of the device. Riders must remain as far right as practical, except when making a left hand turn. Electric bike riders must adhere to all roadway laws and rules.
